Clean clothes, clean environment.

Williams Cleaners strives to provide our customers with top-quality cleaning while also protecting the environment.

Using state-of-the-art equipment
Our efficient, self-contained machines reduce emissions and are inspected on a regular basis to ensure that all federal, state, and local regulations are followed.

Handling waste properly
Waste management is extremely important to us because we care about the environment and our community. New technology allows our equipment to run with very minimal waste. Any byproducts that are produced are recycled by a federally approved waste facility. Regular cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of the dry cleaning equipment minimize Perchloroethylene (Perc) emissions to keep our environment clean.

Why Perc?
We use Perc because it is the most effective dry cleaning agent available today. It is an effective and efficient solvent for cleaning clothes—removing stains and dirt from many common types of fabrics—and it is not flammable. Extensive research and investigation into potential hazards of Perc have found no evidence that it is unsafe when properly handled.

In addition, the EPA has found that Perc does not contribute to smog formation, deplete the ozone, or contribute to the greenhouse effect. (Source: www.ifi.org/industry/emagltr.html)

There are several types of cleaning methods and agents available to dry cleaners, such as glycol ethers, hydrocarbon, liquid silicone, and liquid CO2.  All solvents have environmental and human concerns with the EPA.

Williams Cleaners is a business that appropriately uses the solvent and follows all regulations. Due to our safe practices that are closely monitored and follow all OSHA and EPA regulations, our workers and customers are protected.

Taking care of our employees, customers, and community
Our top priority is to provide a safe working environment, to offer safe services to customers, and to help preserve our environment.  Research and new product innovation will continue to improve solvents and the machines they clean in. Williams Cleaners will always utilize new and updated techniques and cleaning equipment that is considered safe and efficient.

Williams Cleaners also recycles all plastic garment bags and hangers that are brought back to our stores after use.
